An Announcement

Children’s University proposes to launch upon a Research Project centered on developing Foundations for new programmes of Teacher Education.
The reason for initiating this Research Programme is that children of today are, as is universally acknowledged, quite different, and they need to be looked upon, cherished and encouraged in ways that are new and suitable to the novel traits that they are gifted with. Hence, there is urgent need to develop new programmes for Teacher Education. We need new kind of teacher.
In this connection, we have requested Professor Kireet Joshi to furnish to this website lead papers. He has given his consent, and we are bringing out the first lead paper in this issue (27th Jan. 2010) of our website.
We are requesting educationists, teachers, and philosophers in Universities, colleges and learned institutions to participate in this Research Project, and we shall welcome research papers on this important theme. Lead Papers are meant to stimulate fresh reflections, discussions, enlargement and follow-up papers. Hence, comments, suggestions, and new articles on the Lead Papers are welcome.
